I think that schaffers coat the gears alittle bit better also I think that it runs cooler, You really should see the demo that any schaeffers can give you its pretty amzaing (Spelling

I'd like to hear about it, too. I'm getting into Schaeffer stuff bit by bit. So far the 7000 is good and I have a case of diesel additive ordered. My rep says they only make 75w90 gear. I realize that thicker isn't always better but RP 85w140 is the only lube I've tried that literally stopped the black gook buildup on the magnet in my Dana 80. Ams. 2k 75w90 was supposed to be miracle stuff but it sure didn't work for me. That's why I'm not sold on mere 75w90 for hard, hot use. Craig
I use schaeffers all around. X-200 in the engine and Neutra Plus 192 for fuel additive. The fuel additive is thick and has the highest % of aromatics on the market. Aromatics=Healthy pump seals. Also have schaeffers gear oil in the dif's but Redline in the tranny, MTL

I don't use any of their oils in my truck yet, i will soon when i do a service at 75,000 miles. I do use their diesel addivite Soy Shield and it is a very good additive. Its better than PS or Howes in my opinion. But back to the oil thing, at my old job the fleet of semi's i worked on used schaeffers in all the diffs, trannys, engines, and the additive in their fuel. By switching the fleet to schaeffers synthetic oils all 22 trucks did notice a gain in MPG. Plus the oils all remained fairly clean when it came to the specified drain intervals. Plus a few of the trucks ran the synthetic oils long that some of the other truck had and they were showing less bearing failures in the hubs and axles. I think you'll be happy if you switch over to it.
