Running a little hot

I just bougt an 06' Dodge and ive noticed it runs a little hotter than my previous dodges, it runs a little over 200 deg. at 70mph, everyone i have ever had always ran under a little under 200 and no matter how i was driving or what i was pulling they never got over 200.

i did notice they made the air box smaller on 06' and my filter remider is sucked down a little over half way with 7k on truck, all city driving

My 06 Mega stays under 200 degrees no matter what's behind it.

We just did an '06 this past week, we installed a Edge J/A, and during the test run we saw the temp go between 190 and 200 in city driving, the outside air temp was around 90 degrees. Depending on the type of terrain you were driving on, I think your within the limits...

Not real sure, but I think the thermostat is either 190* or 195*. With that temp thermostat is would be hard to stay below 195* or so. Mine has always been around the 200 or center mark. I also noticed that the gauge read a little higher than what the Juice Attitude use to display for engine temp. Gauge would show past the 200 center mark and the Juice/Attitude would read 195-200. I have read post that some are going to a 180* thermostat if they are in southern or warmer climates. I doubt that you have any problem as long as you are not overflowing engine coolant out the overflow.
