Rough start

After sitting all night when I first start the truck, the first few seconds that it runs, it idles like a V8 with an after market cam. This only lasts about 2 seconds. Also, there is a puff of white smoke out of the exhaust. It has done this the past 3 days. Help me out guys, what can this be? There is no power programmers on this truck nor has there for sometime.

From: In Oroville, Ca., same house for past 46 yrs!
when it's cold (like 30 degrees and colder) and I'm not plugged in, and don't wait for the heater grids to come on, I get the same thing if i don't run Power Service in my fuel. I guess it's because the temp in the cylinder is so cold it doesn't fire right off, it has to build some cylinder heat first.
If I wait for the grid heaters to cyle on then I don't have it as bad. If I plug it in or if it's warmer, I don't notice it at all if I have Power Service in my fuel.

Over the past 3 or 4 days. the temp. has been 45 - 65 degrees here in Houston and I have been letting the grid heater cycle. It always clears out and runs fine. What could be causing this?
