RokTech sensor = higher EGTs?
RokTech sensor = higher EGTs?
Just installed a RokTech on the '05 today at the shop; it seems as though the EGTs are higher when fueling, and get higher more quickly... would advancing the timing cause this, since the engine is more efficient now?
I only drove it 25 miles back from the shop so far, but it seemed like it would reach 1000 -1100 degrees more readily than before, with normal driving. I tried a couple of WOT runs and it didn't make a noticeable difference in EGTs - just seems like the gauge is more sensitive to throttle pressure now... maybe I was just hyper-sensitive
- you know how it is when you've just tweaked your rig!
No way I'll be venturing out in this mess today for testing...
