Reman Cummins

Ok, so I posted earlier about a trail rig I am building and asked for someone in the Phoenix Area who is a good engine builder for Cummins. Got little to no response . So my follow up question is, if I were to go with a non-local builder, is there one that is highly recommended. The local reman I have available is Jasper. Any reports on their motors? Reports on whether they'll do any custom work and if so, how good is it?

The others I have heard about are DFC in Canada and USDiesel. USDiesel also offers custom Allison transmissions which also something I am looking for. Anyone have reports on these builders, or recommendations for others?

Jake

Having been employed by a phone company before retiring, we used Jasper when a reman was required. Not a Cummins, but was Ford 7.3, trannys, and rear ends. They were very easy to work with and their warranty was great. And they are all over the US. Now having said that, they were supplying a corporation, not you or me, so the jury may be out. I would really doubt they do custom work because it is an assembly line operation so to speak.

I have used Jasper for years and never had any problem with their remans, trans or engine. Very good company to deal with. Wish I could say the same for Chrysler remans and I work for Chrysler, or should I say Chrysler Fiat.
