Rear main seal..
Rear main seal..
Does anyone know the cummins part number for this seal (2005.5 model year)? I have the dodge part number but I don't have the truck here at work to get the engine number off of and the cummins parts place needs the number...
Pretty expensive from the dealer ($95). Hoping to get it cheaper before Friday, when we are doing my clutch....
Thanks
Tim

Man I don't have the number for the seal but for sure buy that thing through Cummins....WAYYYY CHEAPER!!!! I think I gave about 30 bucks for mine. while you're at it get the cam seal. It's an o-ring that has a tendency to leak making one think the rear main is leaking...ask me how I know
. Both are easily replaced. I did have to use a lube to get the new main seal in the bracket...just take your time and all will be fine.
