Question Rear End Vibration?????

I just got my truck back today from the 30,000 mile service and they changed tranny fluid, front and rear end fluid, fuel filter blah blah blah.... anyways when i got it back i noticed a weird vibration of some sort which seems to be coming from the rear end?????? it only happens when accelerating from a complete stop. I have no idea why all of a sudden this is doing this. Could it be from the rear end fluid change? any help would be appreciated
thanks
Eric

H.H.
Does it go away when the truck shifts into second? It sounds like a "launch shudder" but there is now way a fluid change caused it. It's the pinion angle that causes it. Did they do any mechanical work for you?
Maybe they noticed some funny gear wear and adjusted the backlash or something in the rear diff.

It last for about 1-2 seconds in first. its not very noticable, probably cant notice it without being in the drivers seat, i seem to feel it more than to hear it. i dont think they did any mechanical work just the fluid change... they did adjust my bands on my tranny if that would make it cause something??? it might even be coming from the tranny for all i know, it just feels like the rear end...

A launch shudder if that is what you have is not "normal" in the sence that a good diff guy can align the pinion and drive shaft so you don't feel it. If you do, your dealer should take care of it if b-4 your 3/36 is up.

well i think i know what it might be, my mechanic "accidently" put ATF+3 in my tranny! i dont know if this has to do with it. he said it sounds like a shutter.. so hes going to drop the pan and refill it with ATF+4, question is did it hurt any thing running +3 in the tranny? thanks for th help

How many miles did you run the +3? I have heard DC is pretty picky about the fluid that ends up in your tranny.

My understanding is YES, not for 300 miles I don't think but I would get it out ASAP and run DC's ATF. Just an opinion.
