rear end vibration

5th gear at 2000 rpm I have a bad shake/ vibration. New tires, balanced drive shaft, new shocks, new center support bearing, new u-joints. With the truck on stands in 5th gear@ 2000 rpm still shaking. Took duals off, still shakes. took brake drums off and run it up to 2800rpm no vibration. With the drums on and in 5th gear, there is an obvious out of round to both drums. Is it possible they are the out of balance problem causing this vibration? And has anybody had this issue? 99 dodge dually, no mods

I think you answered your own question... with them it vibrates, without it's smooth.

thanks for the response. I'm just tired of throwing money at this problem without getting results. The drums have less than 20000 miles on them, but I know that I got them hot. Parking brake cable was hanging up.

Did you throw a balance weight off them? If they are out of round anyway I would replace them.
