i was just cruising down the road when all a sudden the engine started knocking real loud. it did not loss power or any thing just knocks. i towed it home and it still starts easy just knocks. i have been told it is just an cracked injector. does any one else have any other thoughts?

I also just recently started experiencing a knock on my truck, after a harder than normal run

I am also interested in finding out the problem for the knocking noise.....and have my fingers crossed!!!

 

oh sorry about the sig, is yours knocking all the time or just after you run hard.

 

What's your rail pressure gauge saying? If the rail pressure sensor goes out it will do this due to too much pressure.

 

It started doing this Saturday night, after I ran the truck hard.

Sounded very odd, but definately was a knocking noise

It has been parked in the driveway and I have not started it since.....

 

my rail pressure gauge says the normal about 25,000 psi,

 

When 1 of my Flux 2's went to heck my 03 knocked something fierce.
