Question on conversion to manual locking hubs

I am doing some cost comparison work for the maker of our trucks (D!@#$) on the cost effectivness of doing away with the locking hub feature. I need some information for you all that have done the conversion and your MPG gains. Please keep all figures as accurate as possible.

What was the last model year the locking hubs were available on the 3/4 and 1 ton trucks? How about for the half tons?

Can someone provide a detailed list of all the parts involved in the conversion to locking hubs? Aftermarket Kits.

Can you do this conversion using stock factory parts from axles back when this option was available?

I am building a cost benefit analysis of going back to locking hubs for the fuel mileage gain to the consumer.

I welcome all info and or questions you have.

Thanks,

Matt

The last year of manual locking hubs, IIRC was '93. In 94 when they started the 2nd gen the CAD was introduced.
