I have a 05 2500 as you can see by my signiture. ok hear is the deal...i just went to change my oil and got a wix PN#51607 filter, the one that i took off the pickup was a 57620. i called the part store that i got the filter from and they had both part numbers listed. i just want to make sure that i can use that filter.

The only approved oil filters for Dodge's diesel engine are as follows:
Part # Manufactuer
5083285AA Mopar
LF16035 Fleetguard Stratapore
LF3894 Fleetguard Stratapore
LF3972 Fleetguard Cellulose
LF3552 Fleetguard Microglas
LF3959 Fleetguard Cellulose
3937695 Cummins Cellulose
FL896 MotorCraft Cellulose
L45335 Purolator Cellulose
PF1070 AC Delco Cellulose

I use the fleetgaurd LF16035 for my truck. I get em from my cummins dealer for $10. Hope this helps,Rooster

I use Wix# 51607. They changed the number when they quit wraping the filter in plastic. Now they just stick it in a box and save a few cents. I have also used Baldwin filters ( only because our company gets them so cheap , about $2.50.).
