puked an injector yesterday

For the past 2 months or so my truck hasn't been running right. When you first crank it up it will blow white smoke and idle rough. I've took it to the local dealership twice and they keep telling me that there isn't anything wrong with it. Well yesterday morning on my way home from work i was not sure i could make it to the dealership to leave it with them again because it was running so rough and rattling like it was going out of style. Made it there told 'em what it was doing and that i wasn't coming back to get it, until it was fixed. They called me earlier today and told me I an injector go out. Well here is the part that really sucks, they aren't going to get the injector here til thursday or friday. While i'm on the phone with him he tells me that he's noticed that i had another dealership put on a "Power module" i don't have a chip or a reprogrammer either one on my truck YET. What he saw was the sticker where i had the hard start flash done on it. I told him that and he said "oh." He was trying to figure out a way to stick me with the bill instead of the warranty paying for it. The truck just now has 21K miles. Now I know all dealers are not like this but I just think this is ridiculous. If you can get past the service manager they have a good diesel mechanic there. But the s.m. is a dingle berry. Just had to get that off my chest cause this crap has been a little frustrating.

My truck also had the white smoke and rough idle. My dealer said one injector was bad. They replaced all six injectors and tubes. Engine is super quiet and smooth now. There really is a big difference between dealers... Mine is Clarke Motors Dodge in Winchester, VA.

So far dealer has replaced #2,3 & 5 on my 06...
3&5 went first, then 2..All this with 3000 miles..What a Crock, thank goodness for warrantys...When the first ones went truck idled really rough and blew white smoke, would not clear itself. Then rough idle at startup returned noe and again. Till it thru a code for #2...

Been there too

I know the feeling, just had 4 out of 6 done last week....26K on the beast. "Funny" part was the dealer had to drop my fuel tank and inspect it for dirt before they would warranty the injectors. They said DC's Star told them that if my tank was "dirty" then warranty would not be honored. Imagine that, some dirt in your fuel tank and warranty voided, good thing these fuel systems don't have filters in them that work. Next thing I am gonna hear is that my engine will not be warrantied for anything due to my oil being "dirty".

What's next....

Tell me about it I sent my injectors to don m to be fixed and honed to flux 3.5 and was told that I had a bad solenoid the injector was only flowing 22 percent and two injector tubes were improperly installed from the factory!!! He said those two injectors have been leaking since the motor first started. You would think that for 40 grand for a truck the builder would be able to read a torque wrench
