Problems after installing new lift pump
After installing new OEM Lift Pump, cranked it up ran fine checked for leaks today as it was running. it was leaking so i tried to push the quick connect togather more and it really started leaking bad. before i could get out from under the truck, it shut down, no fuel pressure. I got back under the truck and took the quick connect apart (disconnected the line). and look at the seal inside the line. It looked ok. reseated the connection and no leaks now, drove it down the road got on it runs good.
The only problem now it takes a few seconds longer to crank. i mean a noticable differance in how long it takes to crank. NO Smoke either. Could there be air in the fuel system?
Did i do something wrong?

When I replaced my fuel pump with a original canister mounted pump I could not get the quick connect fitting off so I left it on and reused it. How do you get it off? I would like to put the new one on that came with the pump.
