Price increase on 04.5?

Anyone know if the price is going up on the 2004.5s due to engine changes? Dodge site still lists the same price, and orders are being taken again as I was asked by a dealer on Sat if I wanted to order one.

Good point. : Read this on the TDR site:

"The MSRP for the new 5.9L HO Turbo Diesel will be $5,360,
a $135 MSRP increase for these engine improvements.
Price protection will only be applied to unscheduled
sold orders." Not sure I understand what that second part means...

Re:Price increase on 04.5?

What the 2nd part means is Orders that have not made it to D status will get the new motor but still be priced as before.

About it only costing $135 more at MSRP doesn't mean much, unless you pay MSRP for your vehicles.

IF DC wanted to increase the price without raising MSRP, all they have to do is increase the invoice price. With an invoice price increase, the dealer won't cut as good of a deal.

Also The $135 increase is at the motor only; they didn't say anything about anything else. They might also be increasing the price of the base vehicle and anything else for any upgrades. This will spread out the cost of the extra expenses across their complete range of Rams and options.
