power stering box leak

Exclamation power stering box leak

Power strering box leaking around ajusting nut on top of gear box. Any body have a clue why? 05 3500 srw 4x4 6sp quad cab flat bed 97700 mi.

From: North Carolina or Kentucky. Take your pick
There may be an aluminum washer to seal under adjsutment nut. May not be adequatelly torqued or need new washer.
Don't mess with the adjustment or you will be sorry.

Same thing

I have the same thing, but there is no marks on the driveway yet, and steering plus fluid level are still ok.

I have something similar, but I think its coming from the lid?? Not sure, but every now and then I'll have a puddle of PS fluid on the driveway

Mine has a slight leak on the steering box itself. Never a drop on the ground but you can see it discoloring the rust of the steering box....
