Power Steering hose TSB pictures?

I've had the TSB done for the buzz - the one that replaces the PS hoses with the weighted ones. The hoses that are in my truck now don't seem to have any weights on them, so I was wondering if anyone has pictures with the new hoses properly installed.

I've got a couple of minor things I need to take the truck in for, but the buzz/drone is still there, so if they put the wrong part in, I want to have them fix it correctly. Thanks.

well crap, mine doesn't have that big thing on it next to the battery cable.... guess they didn't use the right part. I'll add it to the list of things to have them fix.

Thanks for the picture!

Joel,
While it's in the shop have them look to make sure the original P/S hose fitting isn't cross threaded under the P/S pump. Seems to be a issue with the early '03 models. If it is a new P/S pump is required. Mine let go last Monday going down the interstate near Sonora, lucky I had a trailer with electric brakes. The truck was towed to Kerrville and a new P/S pump and the new updated hoses installed.

Yet another "Wow - what a difference" for me. Thanks for the picture Tfeore!

My original dealer didn't do the TSB right. They signed it off and charged DC for it, but either they just loosened the fittings to drip some PS fluid so I'd think they changed something, or they replaced a perfectly good hose with another perfectly good unweighted hose.

Stopped in to another dealership who was willing to listen and even order the new hose for me to see if there was a difference. Yeah, that 2# weight in the middle of the hose is different. They installed it on the spot and wow - no more A/C howl!!

I hope DC calls me to ask why I had this done twice. Hell, maybe I'll call them!

by the looks of the picture, my dealer didn't do it right either! I have the vibration around 2100 rpm. I brought it in and during the road test, they said it was just "normal" vibration. I took their word for it, but still felt it wasn't right. I guess I will go to a different dealer.
