If you have the vibe, get it done while under warranty.

Mine went in a couple of times for a kazoo like buzz in the dash @ 2000 rpm, the new hose cured it.

A friend of mine had the vibe in his '03 and the TSB fixed it, However he had to print out the TSB and bring it with him.... They didn't know about it until he brought it in to show them . But that was a couple of years ago when it first came out.....

I'm not sure how to link you to the TSB'S.Look up GENO"S GARAGE and they have all the TSB"S listed. The TSB will have the part number.I would ask for D.C.assistance as it was a known problem.

They would not replace mine under the TSP as mine is an 04. I made my own dampner and it drives great now! Get-r-Done!

If the weights were not on the FACTORY HOSE there were under the TSB or under warranty for one. Many a 04 has gotton the updated hose on D.C.Lots of 04s were manufactured with the old hose.Call D.C. 1800-992-1997 and start the ball rolling for a reimbursment!Your dealer was WRONG!

Here is the TSB for the '03...

19-008-03

All Vibration in steering column.

A vibration may be felt in the steering wheel and/or the accelerator pedal on diesel engine vehicles with the engine operating between 2000 and 2200 rpm. The vibration may be more pronounced with the A/C compressor on. Operate the engine between 2000 and 2200 rpm. If the vibration is present, perform the repair procedure which involves installing a power steering hose containing a vibration damper.

It doesn't show as a TSB for the '04.....

I would definitely have it done. I had no noticeable vibration I thought, but had them replace it anyway while the truck was in for other TSBs and what a difference it made. All that steering wheel "hum" that you feel in your hands that everyone just assumes is the Cummins doing it's thing.....gone.

Here is a link to the TSB: http://dodgeram.info/tsb/2003/19-008-03.htm

CHEZZ AGAIN!.Tech would have to live when one NOT doing it awhile to feel the differance in the ONE doing it.Thats why its a TSB.SO or HO it does not matter. Some of these places spend MORE time NOT making money instead of getting the job done and FLAGGED/PAID.I'd call D.C. 1800-992-1997 andf give them a EARFULL.Plus the OWNER of that store.I just called a OWNERS SON IN LAW(BIG CHEIF by marriage today on a ISSUE and threw the SALESMANAGER under the bus on a issue that started TWO years ago.Their cutting my CHECK today.
