Power Puck and Brakes
Power Puck and Brakes
This sounds weird and it blows my mind.
A friend put a Power Puck on his 2005. When the switch is thrown on, he gets a better response on his brakes than when it is off.
I thought he was kidding me until I drove it. The brake pedal applies more pressure when it is on, some softer when it is off.
The truck does have more response on the throttle at low ends. The only thing I can think is causing it is more torque on the low end and correspondingly more torque on the power steering pump????????
The brakes are hydroboosted off the power steering pump. How is the power steering pump building up more pressure with the Power Puck on? From the faster torque build up in the engine????
Anybody have any insight?
