Hey guys, this is my first post and it's a doozy. So, I have a 2005 2500 4x4. All I've done to it is put a 5" exhaust, a Smarty Touch and a new air intake on it. About three months ago I started to lose power. I would be taking off or giving it gas and it would be like the engine would cut out. No loss of electrical (radio and dash would still have power) but the rpm's would drop to 0. This would last for about 1-2 seconds then it would power back up. It started out once and awhile then got progressively worse. Took it to my buddy's shop and it wasn't throwing any codes. Long story short, they ended up changing and upgrading my injector pump and changing my in tank fuel pump. Got it back home two nights ago. Drove it yesterday and when I'd accelerate it would do the same thing, this time it would do it once I was backing off the gas after accelerating up to speed from a start or trying to pass someone. Any ideas? And I hope this is the right place for the post. If not I apologize and I can remove it.

 

Check your FCA (Fuel Control Actuator), assuming you've recently replaced your fuel filter.
