Had to do a bunch of short trips last week less than five miles from home. This is something I've never done on a cold motor before, shutting down before normal operating temp. At the last start up (4th) the engine ran erratic and shook the truck. Check on the pyro gauge showed it 650 at idle? Check the exhaust no smoke? Boot it home check the oil for diesel, check water seperator on fass and dump fleetguard injector cleaner in. Check for codes none. Does this sound like a momentary stuck injector? Hit the hwy WOT and tried to pegged the needles. I always run additives Howes,PS/mmo or fleetguard. Last couple of months I haven't been working the truck hauling/towing just going to work and back and trying to get the best mileage. Now I've given up on mileage lay into it and the engine is quieter less ticks. No problems since and I guess thats the way my cummins likes it.
