The guy that had the truck before just painted the whole thing black and it looks like hell. I want the red letters and the chrome Cummins back. Thanks

LOL!

the valve cover itself is aluminum. the valve cover cover is plastic (hides the breather on top of the aluminum valve cover.

how much you want to sell the truck fer?

or you could buy a ford, most of their intake manifolds are plastic along with their valve covers lol

Valve cover cover??? I'll be a monkey's uncle... Plastic on my engine.

What do you think it's worth? I just put new rubber on it for $850, and it has a full tank of fuel. Maybe $12,000?

Good luck.

The part numbers on the inside of it are not in Mopar or Cummin's computer. I tried to find another one a year ago with no luck. Found one on ebay but some guy in Cali wanted it a whole lot more than I did. Let me know if you find a source!!!

Spoke too soon.
hoeslidiesel.com has them for $70.

Quite a few parts are now plastic. Check your clutch pedal.

You guys who want some nice bling for a valve cover should check out Geno's Garage. He has some alluminum ones. A bit pricey but I'm sure it adds at least 10hp.

Well, I wish someone would machine a nice cover for the 2006's and up like has been done for the earlier models. Even if it just sat on top of the plastic cover it would be better looking than the plastic one.
