Pictures of Cab and Chassis
One thing I have discovered about the Aisin transmission is that it has an exhaust brake feel, even with the e-brake off. So much so, if you were on ice, you wouldn't want to be in the tow haul mode, even with the e-brake off. Needless to say in south Texas we don't get much of that, but the e-brake is so strong, that even on a slick wet road, you will have to be careful, especially pulling a trailer if your trailer brakes aren't working right.
Towed about 20,000 lbs today, the transmission will downshift at about 65 if the cruise is set at 70. This is running in "drive" up and down some hills. There weren't very many so I didn't go to "tow/haul". Mileage fell off to below 10 mpg, but I was running into a stiff head wind also.
I'm over 2000 miles now and will make a 1100 mile trip next week. Will be pulling some of the big hills (7% grades) west of San Antonio with probably about 18k behind me. We will see how it does on that trip. To this point I am more than satisfied.
