picking a transmission filter

Have recently bought an 07, and Ive been doing some work to add to the potential longevity of the truck. I've installed a 2 micron fuel filter, and am interested in adding a filter to the transmission cooler circuit. Browsing through the available filters and adapters on fleetfilter.com and there are a good range of filters, with different flow, micron rating, and bypass options. So, what is best? I see there are some that filter down to 5 microns like this Wix 51202 & Napa 1202 Oil Filter: FleetFilter Secure Store - Wix, Fram, Baldwin, Luberfiner
the flow is 28-30 gpm, but the adapter needed is huge. Also, there is no bypass.
This might be more practical, for size, with a 1'-12 thread mount, flows 12-16 gpm, but out jumps up to 25 microns. It has a 9psi bypass.

My usual course of action is "more is better" so I'm tempted to get the biggest filter that filters the smallest particles, but honestly I don't know what would actually be the right filter. Can anyone shed some light on this?

spoke with a few oil filter supplies and got some more info, but no definitive answer (or even advice) yet. The question comes down to, does it need a bypass, and if so what amount of PSI should the bypass open? I think it is best to have a bypass, as a fully plugged filter could cause a lot of damage.
There is this WIX 8 micron, no bypass, which was recommended
Wix 57123 & Napa 7123 Transmission Filter: FleetFilter Secure Store - Wix, Fram, Baldwin, Luberfiner
Used with this pressure gauge on the inlet of the filter, you can see when it's time to replace the filter
Baldwin Filter: PG1326, Oil Filters, Air Filters, Fuel Filters: Stocking factory authorized distributor of Baldwin Filters
But, I'm tempted to try this as it has a 30psi bypass. It filters to 16 microns
Part Details
It might help if I could find the line pressure on the oil cooler return line. I've seen the mess made when it blows, and imagine it could be a bit of pressure
