I dont know if anyone has noticed this, but when I was under the truck installing the Bilsteins, I noticed the paint on the rear cover was flakeing.
Just curious if anyone else had the same prob.

this is a common problem. Once i had my truck for about a year i painted the axles and most everything underneither with POR-15. This stuff is almost as good as powercoat. I have used it on my offroad truck and with all the abuse and rubbing on rocks/dirt/mud it is still on there strong. $15 for a cup of this stuff, it sure is worth it.

Sevir,
I take it that is a spray on product correct?
Where do you get it?
I was thinking about wire brushing the part and redoing it with VHT paint.

My truck is 4 years old and my diff cover looks great. It's been through salty sandy winters up here and so far so good, Just keep it clean and you should be fine.

Yeah.. noticed it when installing gooseneck hitch..... Gonna fix that little problem the easy way... I ordered a Mag-Hytec differential cover and told my wife the kids could give it to me for Fathers Day.
