P2146, P2149
A friend of mine bought a 2005 cummins, he got a P2146 and a P2149 code yesterday and the truck was running very poorly. It was misfiring real bad and had 1200* EGT's driving 30 mph to get it home. We did some reading on here and found a post saying to try disconnecting the battery cables. It fixed the misfire and runs great now. So I have few questions.... 1. what would cause this? 2. Does the factory cummins warranty still go to 100,000 miles? He only has 80,000 ish on the truck. 3. How do we clear the codes? Thanks in advance!
