P2121 And P2122 Engine Goes To Idle

I have just got the code P2121 and P2122 and my engine goes back to idle as I am driving. After a few seconds and some playing with the pedal( pushing it to the floor and cussing) it starts working again. Can anyone tell me if it is the APPS, I hate to spend $500.00 on it and find out its not the problem. I am not sure how I could even test it since it is so random. Please help!

I don't know what APPS is.. P2121 Code is throttle/pedal position sensor/switch D circuit range/performance

P2122 says the same except low circuit

99% chance it's the APPS. To verify, pull the plug from it, clean the contacts and then reset the APPS voltage. Bad connection may throw the same codes. If this doesn't work, then it's the APPS. Not too hard to replace and there's several discussions with directions on the site here.
