what will cause this code and the fix.note truck stock 2003 2500 .stock batterys

p0514 battery temp sensor rationality. Ignore it will go away. It is a sensor under the drivers side battery and when it is cold the computer measures temps on all the sensors and if there is to much difference the truck trips this code. The fix was to reflash the computer to allow a greater difference between the temp sensors but you will get the reverse horn honk if you get reflashed I just ignore mine it goes away after a few days.
