Oily film

Has anyone noticed around the valve cover area to be alittle oily?
Like a film of oil spreading, mine has it on both side between aluminum valve cover and head. Also where fuel lines enter the head. Not alot but just enough to attract dirt and look nasty. Oil level has never dropped so this is a very minor concern, just curious if others are doing it?

I have 25,000 miles and I noticed the same thing a week ago. I just washed it last night and I'm going to keep an eye on it to see if it comes back.

16,000 miles, noticed it about 10,000. Doesn't seem to be enough to get concerned about.

If it starts dripping on the ground, then I'll get concerned.

Cut a piece of cardboard the length of the head maybe 2" wide and place it up by the fuel lines. Either tie wrap it or tape to keep it from movingg. Drive the truck for awhile and see if there any stains, diesel fuel will stain the cardboard dark.

Might be able to narrow down what cylinder is leaking if any.
