Oil Change interval
Amsoil will gladly send an educational letter to anyone who claims the product will cause warranty issues. As long as the lubricant meets the API and SAE specs, there's no reason not to use it. Frequency is another matter. If you use the correct filtration for longer intervals, there is no issue.
Amsoil document G1229 dated 02/08, p19
"To affect the vehicle warranty, the lubricant must be directly responsible for the failure. If the oil didn't cause the problem the warranty cannot be voided, regardless of brand or length of time in use."

Not exactly.
All said and done, the filter must have the capacity to collect all the material between the changes without causing a (significant) restriction. The oil has to have good quality additives to last the duration. The manufacturer doesn't add quality additives to cheap base stock.
This could turn out to be a huge discussion, I hate to make generalizations.
You have great filtration going on, though.
Earlier, when I said "you are not getting the benefit of the synthetic by changing it so often." was somewhat incorrect. You get benefit from good quality oil, but maybe not your moneys worth.
I'm kinda in your same boat with my tow rig and I still use synthetic and a bypass filter.
Why do I feel like I'm digging a hole?

I appreciate the info. I think I'm going to continue to use the same brands/types of oil and filters. Then at every 12 month mark, do UOA and change the filters. Perhaps then I will be fine to do oil changes every 24 months.
I appreciate all the input from you guys. I know it's not rocket science, but it's always good to get the opinions of others. Thanks. Phillip

Just my opinion about using synthetic vs dino.. Knowing I'll get better over all protection, better start up in colder weather, better mileage, etc, etc, with synthetic..Longer drains are just a xtra benifit
