The OFFICIAL Blackstone Labs Oil Analysis thread

This is the place to keep your records public and show everyone the durability of your cummins and back the reliability of your oiling system!
Ill start
Unfortunately they screwed up. My truck was actually at 19,880. called them and they told me to extend the interval changes to 6500.

Here is my last one. Looks about as good as an oil analysis can. It is only a snap shot in time and does not necessarily mean there are no problems, but it certainly is a measure of how the oil is performing and another baseline for diagnostics.

good stuff. I think that it is probably a good insurance policy to get an analysis done every 10-15K. they recommended i extend my interval times. I dont think I will. I am looking to keep this truck on the road as long as possible and I think the cheapest way to ensure that is consistant filter changes

I use oil analysis daily at my work and low silicon levels are ok, but shoot for zero. Might try blowing out the air filter half way between oil changes.

I just got a note in the mail from them yesterday announcing a price increase ($22.50 per test)... fortunately there's a local shop in town that does oil analysis too so I will start using them instead.
