All the stations around South Bend Indiana are 2.19-2.21 except for the 7-11 a mile from my house and its 2.03. It was 1.69 all summer and fall at that station, when everyone else was 1.83-1.89. I don't understand it.

Interesting or should I say shocking, how close U.S. and Canadian prices on fuel are at least when looking at the northwestern states. At today's rate of exchange (about $1.00 Canadian = $0.83 U.S.) that $3.10 Canadian per U. S. gallon (3.78 litres) works out to about $2.57 U.S. Still it's a tough pill to swallow for those of us who remember paying $0.37 for an Imperial gallon (4.55 litres) of gas. Speaking of which, Regular gas was on the move up to $0.915/litre when I drove home from work tonight; diesel was $0.849 yesterday.

We're pulling our trailer down for 6 weeks on the Oregon Coast later this year so I hope those prices come done some by then.

I just bought a little commuter that gets 31 mpg so my dodge is going to sit for awhile. The only problem is that I really enjoy driving my truck.

So why aren't the trucking companies running big rigs screaming ?

The big rig drivers must be going bankrupt...

Just filled up at the least expensive place in Boise with 3 cent/gal discount card was $2.44/gal. Others are at $2.59/gal. and climbing everyday. Couldn't take spending $75.00 a week on diesel, so I just picked up a creampuff of a '90 Acura Integra coupe for 2K w/125k on the ticker (fun car!). Not sure what I'm going to do from here...the new truck is going to spend most if it's time in the garage. May just sell it and get a gen 2 for part time use...

If you are planning a trip or just want to browse, the Flying J website has their prices all over the country, which are usually the better ones in their respective area. I always plan my trips and fuel stops based on pricing. Living in Florida, I always top off/stock up when going through Georgia, where the prices are around .15 per gallon cheaper!

Forgot going from FL to AZ, I stopped filled up, pulled into a parking spot, chilled for a while and sat there watched the gut outside changing the fuel prices. I missed a 5 cent increase by like 30 min!

WHY???

Why is Diesel so expensive? Can someone ask G. W. Bush to give us a break on the Alaska oil drilling issue...

What do you mean give us a break on the drilling issue. A break as in start drilling and get the prices down, or everybody quite gripping about prices, buck up and pay the higher prices so we dont have to drill???

Prices are going up here for gas and diesel. Gas is about to catch up. Yesterday we went for breakfast and then to look at a new 5th wheel. We were headed away from the beaches on Gulf to Bay (hwy 60) in Clearwater Florida. Traffic headed to the beach was literally no exaggeration gridlocked from the beach to the Courtney Cambell Causeway 11 miles away. The parking lots at the beach are full before noon and barricades are up diverting traffic. People sitting in cars and diesel pickups with their beach toys burning fuel. Tempers flair and some give up. Gotta love spring break in a tourist destination. Our fuel prices will likely skyrocket this week and for the next couple of weeks. I can buy a lot of gas for the cost of a little car with tags and insurance and the gas I'd have to buy for it too. I'll just plan my trips more carefully and keep my foot a little lighter.

In Florida its $2.17 to $2.39 right now, I know there are a few truck stops that are a little cheaper unfortunatly I 'm not near that exit.
