I only notice it in T/H

Under certain throttle conditions when she shifts she sort of falls on her face before engaging. It's almost like letting off the throttle with the TC locked, she just falls.

A rubber band effect is my best description.

 

Well shortly after posting this I started experiencing shuttle shift, late shift to 2nd, sometimes 1st to redline then into 3rd.

Took her in to our local trans shop. Time for rebuild.

2nd gear band bad.

 

In 2009 I had to replace the second gear band. It just shuttle shifted second to third, third to second. That was at 43,000 miles.

Now, I have 111,600 miles on it, it started doing it again, but only when cold
at low throttle. I sure wish a 68re would go in there. I've thought about going back to a standard tranny. That would cost as much as a custom built
48re. Money any way you look at it.

Ya, I opted for a 2800.00 rebuild, not ready to fork out 6K+ at the moment while house shopping plus I just dropped 3000.00 into the wife's car last month.

Fuel pump, motor mounts, radiator, water pump, timing belt, tensioner, plugs, coils, alternator, catalytic, etc.

But, hey, the good news? I'll need new tires around February.
