Curious what everyone's looked like at their first fluid change? Mine had a gray sludge all over it almost looked like fuzz, hoping it was just from breakin. I am going to be changing again here soon and hoping for it to be cleaner.

Mine looked like a fur ball at the first changed. It's normal.

Kinda wished my 5600 had mags....2nd time I changed the fluid I found a whole gear tooth laying in the bottom of the case. That was well over a 100k ago so there's no telling what I'll find in there when I change it next week before heading to the NADM event on Oct 15th.

I hope it's nothing that'll keep me from heading to the event....keep your digits crossed!!!

I changed the OEM fluid at 20k miles. Filled with 6 quarts of Amsoil MTF. Plan to change at 40k miles which is coming up real soon.

I changed out from OEM at 15K miles, and do the Amsoil MTF on 50K mile intervals.

There is always going to be some fuzz on the OEM magnet in the bottom.

I changed mine at 30k as per the manual. I have continued to change it at each 30k. It may be over kill to change it as often as I do but I want it to last the life of the truck, probably the last truck I will own. I use Penzoil Syncromesh. Have 114k and it still shifts like new.

The magnet has had less fuzz with each oil change.
