Non "BIO" diesel

They started carrying Non "BIO" diesel at the Casey's nearby. I usually don't buy there but decided to try it. I am pretty impressed. Not any performance gains but this engine loves it. It is so much quieter now. The injectors aren't banging away like they do with that bio crap. It's just amazing how much smoother it sounds. I'm sold on it. I hope they continue to carry it.

That's strange. Usually it is just the opposite! Mine loves 5-10% bio

I started running "straight diesel" a few months ago in my 2nd gen 24 valve. Found it at the local Meijer store. Usually the 5~10% bio ran quieter, but last year with the harsh winter I ran through a ton of Power Service and Howes trying to keep from gelling. Still froze up twice with that blended crap in the tank. Thought I killed the VP44 600 miles from home. Owner at the local truck parts was saying the big boys were having the same problem with that stuff.

Bio works great in warm weather, but in the winter it gels easily. Run Jet "A" if you can get it, it's designed for cold temps.
