Question no power and lots of black smoke

I was driving my truck the other day and I stoped at a stop sign and when I went to pull out it had no power. I thought that it was the turbo, but when I took it to the dealer I told the diesel tech what happened and that it is blowing black smoke pretty good too, and he said that it has something to do with the fuel system. It didn't throw any lights or codes. Any of you guys experienced this problem before or any thoughts on what it might be?

Yeah, I had a similar thing earlier this spring. Took the truck to the dealer and they flushed the injection system. Cured it right up, but ever since my mileage is worse by 1MPG

Check all the clamps from the turbo to the intercooler and then to the intake manifold.

being your truck is an 05 you probably have the plastic intercooler tanks - maybe one of them popped. common problem with 05's
