Talking Smoke and lots of smoke

Today I was driving up here to work and i noticed black smoke about a mile north of where i was at so i hurried up and got where the smoke was at and saw this big 18 wheeler driving down the interstate blowing black smoke everyw where. i thought it looked cool he was slowing down becouse of trafic then he would take off again. I just thought it was cool how he was the only one that i saw that was blowing black smoke like crazy. he only had one stack out the back.

There is a White Peterbilt around my area that hauls granite/rock, ect for a company in the next town over. His truck is probley the best lookin rig i've ever layed eyes on. It's a pearl white color w/ green ghost flames running down the side and on the hood. He has 2 huge miter cut stacks(maybe 7" ers?). Anyways, I've seen the guy around town and every time he shifts gears this truck ROLLS smoke. Not a puney gray cloud but a thick thick cancerous cloud. I don't know if you can mod a big rig engine but this sucker sure looks like it's been tweeked with.

I'll try and get a picture one day, I get all giddy when I see him roll past me laying it down.

you can tweek them just like you can our trucks, i just did an inframe on a cat 3406A that has been modded and that thing would roll some smoke, but thats why it was in our shop, the driver never backed out of it and it got REALLY hot, managed to cut the top off of one of the sleeves

I imagine alot of the older trucks are easier to tweek (money wise) than the newer ones (similar to the 1st gens versus the 3rd gens); I see alot of older semis rolling some coal from time to time.
