Talking Newbie Seeking Advice.

I’m looking at picking up a Dodge truck in the near future, w/ its primary use being a parts / material hauler around town. I’d also likely take this vehicle on road trips, etc. Because I’ve never owned a Dodge truck before, what are some “things” I should look out for? Presently I’m targeting my search to 2003-2005 2500’s. (I might also consider a 1500, non-diesel.) Are there any known issues with the model years 2003-2005? What sort of fuel mileage should I expect from a 2500? Do any of you run bio-fuel in your trucks? Is there a fair amount of untapped power left w/ the turbo diesel setup? What’s considered high mileage for one of these trucks, where should I target my search, w/ regards to mileage?

Any other comments would be greatly appreciated.
