new smarty owner
Alright guys i did it i put my edge on my work truck and ordered a smarty for my 04.5.I need help with what brand of guages that will match the dodge guages.and what settings to run the smarty on for towing 8000 lbs. every once and awhile.and to have fun eating up ricers too.and also want a ton of smoke!
Autometer and Diprocol make gauges that match very well. I think the max you want to set for a stock tranny is level 3, or with the manual you can run 5. On a stock trans, with the higher levels, you have to be very careful as the Smarty will really tear up the transmissions.
The older Smarty programs smoke wicked, but the newer programs have cleaned up the smoke. Actually, the smoking got old kinda quick, as I found i had to really concentrate on not smoking. have fun

Mine smokes something wicked on anything above level 3, but I have the manual and now run level 7 with the SBC DD all the time. I never had the Edge, but the Smarty seems to have the smoothest power application. With the newest releases, it is not going to smoke as much as the program I have on it. I can fog out an entire street if i lug it....
I have had my bullydog with C/L for over 50.000 mi. and have over 162,000 mi. on truck . Just got truck back last week with modified trans. stock one finally started slipping , I put away my share of those little gassers and still lasted this long . Take care of your toys and they will last a long time . ( I also use my truck for hauling freight )
