I cannot believe the bend in this rubber hose. It must be offset by almost ~1/2".

This web site is great. I can print this out and bring it to the dealership without them saying "WHAT HUH WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT THERE IS NO RECALL"

You should've seen them when I asked them to reprogram the computer for bigger tires.

My truck is recalled for the C42 & C44. I have an appointment made. My service dept. says the truck has to be inspected first. If no corrosion has started, they just put on some kind of a "ring" and "tape it up" for the C42. For the C44 they just "inspect it" and only change it if it needs it. (Thanks DF 5152!)

the C44 recal is an inspection of the tranny cooler and if its not cracked(bracket) ur good otherwise most dealers are having to order the part and all the truck are having the supply line replaced from tranny to cooler with a steel line that has a flexible section of hose

I only have about 5000miles on my truck, so if it's not cracked yet, do they keep inspecting it until it does/ might crack, or are they saying if it's going to crack, it would be already?

RECALL

Thanks for the info I checked and my truck is also under the recall. I have about 5800 miles on it and there does not seem to be a crack in the cooler or any type of leak. I'll call the dealer and see what they need to do with it. I would think just changing the line would be better then waiting for it to start leaking and then have to change it. To keep inspecting it would be crazy, but then again it all comes down to money and DC will try and save when ever it can.

My truck is scheduled into the dealer this afternoon for the recall work. First trip to the dealer for anything. I am hoping this will be a good experience. The Service Advisor that I talked with over the phone asked me if I knew the recall #'s, I said C42 and C44.
He responded with hold on a minute and let me check to see that we have the parts. Came back and said we have them and made an appointment for this afternoon. I mentioned that I had read that it would probably take about two hours for the work, He said if that. Will let you guys know the results.

Recall work done! In and out in 1 hour and 45 minutes.

While I was there, I asked about TSB 19-008-03 (vibration at 2000-2200 rpm). They didn't have the part but have ordered it. Should arrive in a couple of days, and they will give me a call.

So far I am pleased with the service work at the dealer.

Went in to have the "inspection" done. They replaced the seals for the PCM, and replaced the cooler supply lines. 1 hour total.
