Late... but I replaced mine on my 04. Picked it up from a local dealer, but he said there were 300 on backorder nationwide.

Looks like its leaking

Howdy all

Looks like the rad. on my Dads truck is leaking. Its an '03 3500 automatic dually 4x4 SLT.

I gave it a quick look and it looks like its leaking at the tank seam. I would like too know how many rows and if trans cooler is in tank (didnt think to look when there), and good place to get a replacement that fits properly and is not too spendy.

Thanks

Robert

Smile Rad repaired

Here is what happened. Pulled rad out and it was wet from bottom towards top for about 5". Took it to rad repair shop and the guy fixed it. Told me when I picked it up to check "that there is something rubbing core where I patched it". Sure enough, I laid both sections of fan shroud on the rad and the bottom section where there is a molded indentation for the wires going to the fan, that indentation was rubbing core. Sort of acts like a "conduit" for the wire. I simply sawed out the indentation. Re-installed rad and good to go. This is on an '03. I checked out my neighbors, one is a 2004 and the other is a 2005. Those 2 have a completely different fan shroud set-up.
