i have a early 04 CR with a quadzilla xzillaraider 2. so it started actin up and i took the quad off. truck acts fine without it. (powerless but stock power sucks after having more) so anyways i was fine till the next day. my truck jerked and threw a p0251. so i cleared the code and a week later its back doing the same thing. i plugged my quad back in and iv got about 5k at idle and at WOT it only builds to about 12k lbs of rail pressure. i called the *********** and they said its my cp3. i need some help and i need to get this takin care of. my girlfriend drives the truck everyday and i dont need it breakin down on her with the kids.

 

First welcome to the site. Do you have any guages? From what I have read it most likely is the FCA (fuel control actuator). Located on the back of CP3. You can try cleaning the electrical connection to it. It also can be replaced without having to buy the whole CP3 pump and the dealer should know that. You can do it your self. Or upgrade to the arson kit for example which includes a new FCA and instructiions on how to do it.
Have you had your fuel pump relocated to tank or do you still have the orginal pump back of fuel filter cansiter?

 

I wouldn't condemn the CP3 pump yet. You may want to read this TSB before spending the $$$

 

thanks for the response. no i dont have any gauges other then the rail pressure my quadzilla reads out.. iv got a used but good fca and rail pressure sensor coming. ill update when i get that figured out. sorry guys im havin hell navigating this site. lol
