Braking issues
I'm having an issue (not all the time) when I step on the brake pedal. The truck feels like I'm down shifting and compression is slowing down the truck, when if fact, the rpm is not changing. It usually happens with very little pedal pressure. My past truck, (1989 F-250 4X4), would have the same issues while stepping on the brake while crossing bumps in the road. It makes me feel that it is an issue with the ABS system. Anybody out there found this or have a remedy? Thanks in advance, Jim.

I have experienced a similar issue with a 2003 Dodge CTD company truck. The rear calipers were sticking as the cups were corroded and flaking. The calipers were replaced and the brake fluid was flushed with ATE super blue brake fluid at all four wheels. The fluid exiting the bleeders at the rear wheels was thick and dark colored. The slides were also cleaned and silicone brake assembly grease was applied as it is safe for rubber parts. We figured that the calipers caused the fluid to overheat multiple times and thicken over time.
The pads and rotors were replaced as well, however, that was done as a precautionary measure due to the bad calipers.
