New Gauges and a Check Engine Light

Yesterday I installed an Isspro Rail Pressure and Fuel Pressure Gauges. When I started the truck my check engine light was on. I checked the connection on the rail pressure sensor and everything was connected correctly. I took the truck for a test drive and the truck ran perfectly. I used my smarty to read the code and it was the P2509 code Power Data Lost or something like that. I have read that this code is often caused by a weak battery or bad connection with the battery post. I have not yet checked the batteries. Anybody have any suggestions?

I had a code when I connected my gauges. I'd just clear it and see if it comes back up before I get worried. Codes are only life or death when the light is flashing....
