I'm looking at buying my first diesel dodge 5.9 its a 4x4 diesel 4 door, the sticker says 04-2004 is this a 2004.5 325 HP 48re model, the owner hasn't emailed me back on the info request, thought maybe someone here would know. Thanks for any help, the truck has 125,000 miles no 5th wheel or gooseneck hookup, is there anything I should be on the lookout for. Thanks Lucky57.....

 

If it says it's a 2004 model, it may be the 305hp HO. I don't know if the HO came with a 48re or 6-speed. Here is a link that may help.

Ask about any power boxes or optional gauges. I would be cautious if it had a box on the stock auto.

I'm not sure about the 2004 but on my 2003 I've had to change the u-joints, driveshaft and steering u-joints. Mine is a long-bed with the two-piece axle. I've also had to replace the lift pump.

But, I still like it and would buy another one.
