Question Mystery Switch

I searched for mystery switch threads but really didn't find a good answer to my question. I have a PAC brake on my '06 with 48RE. Everything works to my satisfaction 97% or more of the time, very happy with the combo.

The only time I wish for more is when coming down a steep and curvy grade where I must slow below the 20 MPH unlock speed. I'd like the TC to stay locked and brake engaged in those conditions. My RPM is well up over 2000 in lower gears.

Would use of a mystery switch allow the brake and TC to remain engaged without damage to the tranny?

I've had an exhaust brake on my manual trans Cummins for over 12 years and I totally agree that having the exhaust brake engaged and drivetrain locked right to nearly 0mph is desirable.

1st up, anyone with an auto trans and an exhaust brake should have a good quality aftermarket transmission temperature gauge installed.
You can easily cook an automatic transmission with an exhaust brake.

With your 2006 Dodge Cummins, you likely have the ECM controlling the ex brake and the auto trans torque converter lockup.
To do what you want, you will need to manually control the ex brake and the torque converter lockup with switches on the dash.
ie. adding a torque converter lockup (mystery) switch. This setup is not uncommon.

However you will have to be careful with these manual switches. You could easily engage the ex brake and then forget to lockup the torque converter.
