My truck just did some weird idle up thing?

I went out to crank my truck to let if warm up for a sec. Came in for a sec and sat down to check my email and the thing started idleing up like someone was giving it gas. I was about to grab my gun when I looked out the window almost breaking the blinds I noticed no one is in my truck .

Is this normal? My dealer said I might have a bad injector last time it was in there and I'm noticing more than usual smoke....

Yep after it sets under 32 degrees for 2 mins it should idle up to 1k until you touch the throttle.

Yea normal in cold weather......Your sig doesn't say what tranny u have. On the autos you can have the manual fast idle activated. when you turn on your cruise control in park the hit set it will idle up in 100rpm increments. Then when you warm it up it will be on fast idle and if you hear it idle down get ur gun! Someone steped on the brake and put it in gear.

I was surprised when my '06 did it on a trip to Oregon last year. It was probably the first time (and last) that I started it that cold.

I have seen this feature on new flash for 6.7. Prevents soot buildup from excessive engine idling on new 6.7 CTD. Not sure if 5.9 have feature will have to check.
