Is my TC wasted?

Well, I used to be able to powerbrake my truck & roast the crap out of the rear tires. I also use to be able to punch it from a stop & they would break loose pretty good. Now I can BARELY get them to spin powerbraking. Is it 'cause my TC is wasted?

No.

And then a few words to meet the minimum.

Well, the tranny clutchs are slipping. The torque converter is only doing fluid coupling so no lock up unless you have install a lockup switch. Stock trannies will not take much of that kind of abuse at all. That is exactly what has happened to your tranny.

So the cluthes are slipping? It feels normal when I drive it normal. I'm just waiting till my factory warranty is up,in 10K more miles, before I order my Goerend tranny. Do ya'll think dealership would do something to fix the tranny? I have not installed any detectable power units on my vehicle, YET.

It will more than likely make it the 10,000 miles since you only notice it when powerbraking. Just don't power brake it anymore or you may do it in. Since it is not noticeable while driving normal you will more than likely get the no problem found on the ticket. Just drive it normal until you get the modded tranny.

The clutchs are getting weak due to wear.

If you have the funds and think you want to get the Goerends, why wait? I wouldn't want the dealership jacking around with my truck anyway. The Goerend's trans (or any other aftermarket trans) shouldn't effect the warranty on the rest of the truck.
