MPG with vs. without chip

Just went from Kokomo, IN to Knoxville, TN running between 65 and 70 with no load and driving easy to see the best mpg. It hand calculated to 21.485 mpg. The overhead was showing 25+ but that is always off. Not bad mpg though...

On the way back, I had the VA3.2 box on the 1st setting (+60) and ran with the traffic (usually 70-75+ mph). It hand calculated at 20.4 mpg, I was expecting in the high teens.

This is with 121,000 miles with stock tires. Of course there will be some variance in these numbers between tanks but I was expecting a larger decrease. I'm happy with a 1-2 mpg decrease for a faster trip.
