Hmmm, mines opposite from everybody. I just came back from a 1544 mile trip towing a 10,000 lb gooseneck load. Computer said 12.6 at the end of the trip. Hand calculated at 13.25. Totally stock.

My overhead readout use to be with in +/- 1 mpg until Dodge hook up there Star scanner to the truck and now the over head reads 4-8 mpg higher then hand calculated fuel mileage and they tell me there is no way to correct the problem.

Calibrate your overhead DIY

Yes, there is.

I beg to disagree.

All it takes for your truck, Matt, is a short length of Duct Tape and a Sharpie (17.6). Heck, I should sell pre-calculated kits through Lary and make us both a big buck or two and keep this site going forever.

Back to evening brew. . .

Here's a question, may have already been asked somewhere else, but with the below statement, is it true that the 6.7's actually get worse mileage, or is it that the 6.7 lie-o-meter is much more accurate than the 5.9 lie-o-meter?

when i pulled my battery cable to do some work on my truck and reconnected, the got alot closer to actual MPG reading. prior the O/H would read 25-26 when hald calc would be 18-19. now O/H read about 18-20 with the same hand calc.

Overhead meter calibration

When I get to messing around with the buttons I occasionally get a single digit number. Mine is set on "3" I believe, but I was assuming it might change the calibration. I actually forgot about I & haven't messed with it
