Why would someone having trouble with their truck be a moral boost? Just because they decided to buy a truck from a different manufacturer than the one you own? I can't imagine why someone else’s misfortunate would cause any laughter or create any level of satisfaction.

I for one sincerely hope you have the best of luck with your truck.

I don't think BDude555 is really laughing at the fact that other people own inferior trucks. I think if he is like my he takes great pride in knowing he bought the best truck currently on the market. I have friends with powerstrokes and duramaxes and we always tease each other about who drives the best truck. I always make fun of them not buying a cummins and they feel the same way about my truck. I could have purchased any truck on the market and after doing my homework I think there is only really one answer and I'm driving it. I think BDude555 was just trying to show how much he likes his truck over the chevy or ford. I kid my friends to death but I'd never want to see anything bad happen to them or there trucks. If your driving any diesel your already ahead of the game.

Wouldnt you agree the largest portion of the problems people on this site have would be "minor" in the eye's of most people? What recalls have we seen so far? An alternator braket a year ago. and Now a transmission cooling line repair. Have you seen how bent out of shape guys are getting over this kind of stuff?!? If your all upset curseing your dealer, kicking and screaming mad over somthing like that I'm just pointing out that you could be a WHOLE lot worse off! Dont let the little things get you so crazy!!!

Impressive that no mater what the post may be someone will in EVERY case find a way put a negative spin on it.
Good luck with that! sounds like a fun life!!!

BDUDE555, Other problems you forgot! Engine Miss/Hesitation under 30deg. , 2000rpm. vibration............ These may seem minor to you, but its not ".......ing" minor to me. Dodge has taken some trucks back over these problems. Yes, a bracket or a tranny line is not a big deal, just a hastle. But if you are one of the unlucky people that has a problem that Chrysler does not yet have a fix for and getting lied to , ITS A BIG DEAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm still dealing with exhaust fumes in the cab too.
The dealer and I need a solid two days to go thru this truck to resolve.

I noticed something else that told me the air from teh cab was going outside...I got in and shut the door and the little bit of snow on the cowl 'popped' off when I closed the door...I had it on defrost and not running. At least I know thats connected.

I know how frustrating it is to have problems...I am glad I do not have REAL major ones with this truck.

Personally, I have had 2 chevy diesels in the early 80's and I had nothing but problems with both. I always stayed away from Ford because those powerstrokes always seem to be smoking. Now some guys like that smoke, but black smoke means it's not runnin right. So, I switched to CTD and have been a very happy camper for a long time. Duramax seems to have an awful lot of injector problems.
Now having said all that, I sure hope the new CTD, the 600 isn't cursed. Read a lot about real poor mileage and hesitation problems.
